Dragonslayer (published March ) is the newest companion book to the best-selling "Wings of Fire" series. It can be read without having read any of the other books in the series, because it is told from the human/scavenger point of view.   Dragonslayer is a lean book at only pages and I feel that it could have been improved with a bit more meat on its bones. An extra 50 or pages added to the overall length would have given the opportunity for snippets of additional depth and detail to have been spread throughout that I feel would have helped elevate the book.

The first book, “ Dragon Slayer: Beginnings ” debuted in The second book, “Dragon Slayer: Rising” is due to release in paperback and Kindle formats May of This book was an absolute joy to read and the human characters are likeable.

'Dragonslayer' takes places during the first five books in the series and there's easter eggs throughout the book. There's even scenes from the first five books, but from the humans POV/5. "Dragonslayer" is actually the story of a battle between two evils - both the dragon and a corrupt king who holds lotteries to choose who will be sacrificed to the dragon to placate it.

The novel adds many elements, but doesn't do much with them/5(12). This book is the complement to the film of the same name and contains a brief collection of photos from the actual film clustered about midway through it. Though nearly identical to the progression of the movie I found the book highly entertaining/5.

Amazon's release date for Dragonslayer was originally Decemthen February 4th, but was released on March 3rd, Book No.: 2. The Last Dragonslayer is a good YA novel with a simplistic plot best suited for younger teens, but a whimsical style and satirical humor that is probably way over their heads.

Like many novels that are the first in a series, The Last Dragonslayer suffers from way too much attention spent on introducing a huge cast of characters most of whom play little or no part in /5. Written for agesThe Dragonslayers is one of the few kids' books I've read lately that might transcend gender.

There's enough action for boys and the character of Willie in the role of heroine ought to appeal to girls/5(11). This special edition of the #1 New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series soars back in time to give readers a glimpse of Pyrrhia through new eyes.
